Ride High is taking part in The 2.6 Challenge, a nationwide fundraising campaign to Save the UK’s Charities.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in fundraising income.
The 2.6 Challenge will launch on Sunday 26 April – what should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon, the world’s biggest one-day annual fundraising event… and the whole country will be taking on fundraising challenges base around the numbers 2.6 or 26.
We are inviting you, your family, friends and colleagues to join Ride High in our take on the challenge… the Horse Stance Challenge. We challenge you to strike the horse stance for one minute every day for 6 days or even 26 days if you’d prefer! Watch our video for some inspiration!
There are just five simple steps to take…
- Finalise your challenge – you may prefer to strike the stance for two minutes for six days for example
- Head to Virgin Money Giving to donate £2, £6, £26 – whatever you can afford to Ride High or to set up a fundraising page
- Ask all your friends and family to sponsor you and challenge them to do the challenge too
- Complete your challenge
- Share a photo or video of your challenge on social media with #TwoPointSixChallenge @RideHighMK
The only requirement is that you must follow Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing. Most people are taking part from Sunday 26 April but you can do your activity whenever is most convenient for you.
Thank you for your support and remember to send us your photographs!
